Pre Pay Electric Service
Have you ever wanted to have more control over how much you spend each month for electricity? If the answer to that question is “yes” then Carroll White REMC may just have the option you need. It’s called Pre Pay Electric Service and it’s now available to our members.
As a member with a prepaid account, no deposit is required. You will be required to make an initial payment of at least $50.00 to activate a prepaid account. If a member has an existing account and wishes to convert it to a prepaid account, any deposit held by Carroll White REMC will be applied toward any outstanding balance and the purchase of future kilowatt hours. A separate payment of at least $50.00 is still required.
After your prepaid account is activated you can pay as much or as little as you like! You can pay daily, weekly, monthly – the choice is yours to make. Say you can only afford $20.00 then you only pay $20.00, and if you can afford to pay $100.00 then that’s the amount you pay. Just keep in mind that your electric service will be subject to immediate disconnection if at any time the account does not have a credit balance.
No catches, no gimmicks. Carroll White REMC will make sure you can monitor your usage daily. This is done by giving each member an in-home display that will give you readouts of how much you are currently using. It also gives you an average of your daily usage so you know how much to budget for yourself. The in-home display shows the credit balance you still have and helps you monitor your kilowatt hour consumption.
If you are a seasonal member with us and the display is here locally when your year around home is elsewhere, you can monitor the same information through our website. You will even receive email updates regarding your prepaid balance. This is a very easy to use service and really puts the power back in your hands. It is important to note that prepaid accounts are not eligible for payment arrangements and do not receive paper bills.
